Hi Group AB complies with the laws and regulations regarding data protection in Sweden, in particular the Swedish “Personal Data Act” (1998:204) and is bound by the Data Inspectorate’s supervision. HIMYNAMEIS is a global app, and irrespective of which country you reside in or supply information from, you authorize Hi Group AB to use your information in Sweden and any other country where HIMYNAMEIS operates.
What information do we collect?
We may obtain the following types of information from or concerning you or your mobile phone device:
When you download the App and create an account, we collect the following information about you:
- Selected username
- Date of birth
- Sexual preferences and age span of interest
- Mobile phone number
Once you register, you will be able to review and change this information at any time. This information helps to enhance your experience of the App and to verify our members.
We will collect additional information in connection with your use of HIMYNAMEIS, such as; your video and message text, your interactions with other members, information sent when using the chat functionality, your response to our selected advertising partners (if any).
If you contact our support, we will receive your email address, and may track your IP address as well as the information you send to us to help resolve your query. We may keep records of our communications with you, including any complaints that we receive from you about other members (and in the worst case, from other users about you).
We recommend you to think carefully about the information you disclose to other members. We do not allow that you put contact details such as your email address, instant messaging details, phone numbers, full names or addresses, credit card details and other sensitive information on your profile (your video and profile message text), which can be viewed by all members.
When you use the messaging function (the chat), it is allowed to share contact details, but at your own risk.
If you post anything that is inconsistent with our Terms of Service, we reserve the right to terminate your account.
If you turn this feature on (recommended), we will try to collect your device’s geolocation data and save your device’s coordinates to offer you a better dating experience by presenting matching members nearby. We may also use your device’s geolocation to personalize the App or show you localized promotion messages. You can control your location settings by adjusting your Locations Services preferences from your phone’s Settings.
Data storage and international processsing
By using the App, you agree and acknowledge that HIMYNAMEIS is a global app operating through servers located in a number of countries around the world. If you live in a country with data protection laws, the storage of your personal data may not provide you with the same protections as you enjoy in your country of residence. By submitting your personal information and making use of HIMYNAMEIS, you agree to the transfer of your personal information to, and storage and processing of your personal information in, any such countries and destinations.
Device information, log and usage data
Our servers automatically collect information from your use of the App or our web page, which helps us to run and improve our service. This information could include your IP address and its location, device ID and type, your browser type and language, the operating system used by your device, your mobile carrier, access times, your mobile device’s geographic location while our App is actively running, or the referring website address.
When you use our App or visit our web page, we may assign your device one or more cookies to facilitate access to our services and to personalize your experience. Through the use of a cookie, we also may automatically collect information about your activity, such as the pages you visit, the time and date of your visits and the links you click. If we advertise, we (or third parties) may use certain data collected from our services to show you HIMYNAMEIS advertisements on other sites or applications.
How and when do we use the information collected?
Our main goal is to ensure that your experience on HIMYNAMEIS is enjoyable! In order to deliver this to you, we may use the information collected to:
- Send you personal updates about things happening in the App, such as a push notification when receiving a new message.
- Contact you with information about the App (e.g., updates and new features).
- Personalize the App and the content we deliver to you.
- Show your presentation in our social media channels, given that you consent to share your video outside of the App, please see Settings/Account.
- Conduct research and analytics about how you use and interact with the App or our website(s).
- Resolve disputes between you and other members.
- Investigate fraud, protect our legal rights, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
- We may display and track advertising tailored to your interests inside our App and other sites, including providing our advertisements to you when you visit other sites.
When contacting you we use push notifications or notifications while using the App. You may configure what types of such notifications you agree to receive under Settings in the App.
NOTE: We, or any third party, will NOT use your mobile phone number to send you text messages (SMS) in any form without your consent. This also applies to potential advertisers, partners or subcontractors.
With whom can we share your information?
Your information, including personal information in rare cases, may be disclosed to the following parties:
When you register as a user of HIMYNAMEIS you will NOT automatically be viewable by other users, but at the moment you record a video presentation other members will be able to view the information you have provided to us, such as your video and message, your user name, your age, your gender and approximate number of km/miles away. If you swipe right to like a person, you will be able to chat with that person if they swipe right to like you (i.e. you have a “match”). If you chat with your match, your match will see the content of your chat (obviously).
In social media
Selected members with particularly funny or sweet videos may be shown in our social media channels (like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) as inspirational examples of how to record a good video. If you do not want to be visible here, make sure to uncheck the box for Account Visibility found under Settings/Account.
We may also share or disclose your non-private, aggregated or otherwise non-personal information with third parties for industry analysis and demographic profiling and to deliver targeted advertising about other products and services and for marketing purposes.
As mentioned in the Terms of Service, we think it is very important that all members behave whilst using the App and we may preserve or disclose any of your information, if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect our rights or property.
Access to your information and our data retention policy
You may review or modify the personal information you have provided at anytime by opening your account and going to Settings.
Once per year you have the legal right to write us and ask for a transcript regarding what personal information we have stored about you. If this information is incorrect or incomplete you have the right to request that it is removed, corrected and/or supplemented.
You can also close your account at any time by visiting the “Settings” page for your account. If you do so, we will deactivate your account, which means that no members will have the ability to see you on the App or access your information any longer. You will not appear in their list of matches and the chats you’ve been involved in will disappear from their list of conversations.
After deactivation of your account and membership, we will retain all information associated with your account for a maximum of twelve (12) months for the purpose of preventing fraud, enforcing our Terms of Service, take actions we deem necessary to protect the integrity of our service or our users, or take other actions otherwise permitted by law. After one year since deactivation, we will delete all personal information of your account from our systems, but we will still keep aggregated, non-personal information for statistical and analytical reasons.
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process and maintain.
Unfortunately, no system can be completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss or other breaches will never occur. The use of our App or website(s) and any transmission of personal data in connection to your use is at your own risk.
We expressly disclaim any representation or warranty, whether express or implied, with respect to any breaches of security, damage to your device, or any loss or unauthorized use of your registration information or other data.
