McDonald’s in Sweden just matched with the new dating app HIMYNAMEIS – the first of its kind with short video presentations instead of images. The idea is that the love of burgers will create exciting new meetings at McDonald’s.
People who match on HIMYNAMEIS and have used the tag #burgerlover, get an offer to go on a date at McDonald’s, eat for two, but pay for one.
– We want to offer people who match something special and at the same time encourage them to meet their matches in person. McDonald’s is one of the companies we have partnered with to make this happen, says Ludvig Lindström, one of the founders of HIMYNAMEIS
HIMYNAMEIS is a dating app that is similar to Tinder, but instead of images users present themselves with a short video clip. According to studies, videos are much better in communicating personality and charisma than images.
– Sure, it requires a bit more commitment to record a video, but it’s well invested time and effort. More realistic expectations and greater involvement leads to better dates, says Ludvig Lindström.

HIMYNAMEIS is the perfect tool if you are looking for a partner or a friend. The app shows you short video greetings from people nearby. One video can be max 5 seconds and we only ask for your name, but you’ll see that even a short clip says so much more than some old pictures. You can also filter by hashtags to find someone that shares your interests. All in all, this creates better matches!
